SURGICAL TREATMENT OF EJACULATIO PRAECOX

Sinc 1988, 21caces of precotious cjaculation,associated with phimosis or redundant prepuce,have been subjected to a mokified circumcision procedure with dual therapeutic effects.
Methods and Results:The operation,being somewhat different fton the conventional ones,required the excioon of a greater part of the external leaf of the foreskin and less internal leaf. 1.5-2cm of the latter was retained.The results revealed that in 9 cases the time of sexual intercourse was prolonged from less than 2 minutes to 5-15 minutes and in 12 cases ftom 2-5 minutes to 10-20 minutes.
Discussion:A phimotic or redundant prepuce is vulnerable to inflammatory involevement and easily receives more stimulation during copulation,thus predisposing to premature ejaculation.After excision of the portion of the foreskin containing abundant nerve endings,the sensitivity to sexual stimulation is reduced,so that ejaculation is delayed.
